Buckland House set for for extension, repurpose

Keppel has secured a warehouse at Chippendale with plans to repurpose it as a co-living investment.

Buckland House at 19-21 Buckland Street is speculated to have sold for $17 million.

With five car parks, the site spreads 703 square metres at the north west corner of Grafton St.

The two level improvement contains 1034 sqm.

Less than two kilometres from town, Buckland House is walking distance to the University of Sydney and the University of Technology (continues below).

HB&B Property obtained the permit to extend the building three floors and repurpose it for student accommodation.

The redevelopment would contain 81 dwellings, ground floor retail and a rooftop communal space.

The estimated construction cost is c$24m.
