Brunetti leases building for first “cake consulting boutique”

Also today we are reporting Yuri Angele bought a Brunswick property (outlined).

EXCLUSIVE

Banco Group has secured one of Melbourne’s highest profile cake and desert makers to a near new food focused manufacturing hub investment in the north.

Brunetti Classico, owned by Fabio Angele, opened at 107 Newlands Road, Coburg North, this month.

The Coburg North store will be Brunetti’s first “cake consulting boutique”.

With a focus on celebration cakes – it will be the company’s first ever “cake consulting boutique” – but also selling hot and cold food and coffee, the tenancy spreads 989 square metres including a mezzanine office.

On 1294 sqm at the front of the estate, it also contains 14 car parks.

Brunetti Classico was formed in 2021 while Mr Angele’s brother, Yuri, launched another brand, Brunetti Oro.

The family held the Brunetti Group name since 1991.

The pasticceria opened in Carlton six years earlier.

Also today we are reporting Yuri picked up a Brunswick café and commercial kitchen occupied by Brunetti Oro for 10 years, off-market (story continues below).

The Newlands Road tenancy spreads 641 square metres.

Food focused estate

Brunetti Classico opened last year in Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds.

Covering six hectares at 105-113 Newlands Rd, the Banco estate was designed for food grade requirements; kitchens contain grease interceptors, drainage, dishwashers and gas appliances.

Taking shape since 2020, there are over 30 lots.

Buildings range between 450-3300 sqm, some with circa eight metre clearances and three phase power.

Brunetti will join Augustus Gelatery, Italian chilli manufacturer Bippi, charcuterie maker City Larder, The Gospel Whiskey, Marissa’s Kitchen, Ribbons & Bows Cakes and Wonder Pies.

Banco’s Will Lo Giudice and Anna Marie Leggo with CBRE’s Joe Brzezek, Jake George and Corey LeFavi are the leasing agents.
