Ange Postecoglou boots Toorak townhouse

The Grange Road townhouse is believed to have sold for c$3.5 million.

Ange Postecoglou – who this week won a four year contract to coach the United Kingdom’s Tottenham Spurs – has sold his former Toorak family home.

The speculated price for 1/75-81 Grange Road – c$3.5 million – is $200,000 over the upper end of the ($3-$3.3m) guide.

It also sets a record for the Villagio complex it sits in, with 11 townhouses.

The buyer is an investor.

Mr Postecoglou, 57, is presently living in Scotland managing Celtic FC where it is reported he earns £2.2m (A$4.1m) per year.

It is believed Tottenham is paying Mr Postecoglou £5m (A$9.4m) to head to North London – a drop on the c£15m ($A28m) it is reportedly remunerating outgoing coach Antonio Conte per year (story continues below).

Kay & Burton’s Darren Lewenberg, Ross Savas and Grant Samuel represented Mr Postecoglou and his wife, Georgia, who paid $3m for 1/75-81 Grange Rd in 2016.

On 379 sqm, with Paul Bangay designed gardens, the Tuscan themed mini-manor contains three bedrooms, a study, formal and informal living rooms and a double garage.

Being a front unit, it also has an entrance off the street.
