Agent canvas call snares Dunlop Flooring for Dexus

Dunlop Flooring has signed a seven-year lease deal for a purpose-built warehouse in Melbourne’s west.

The Prime-grade quality investment (artist’s impression, top), which is speculated will have an end value of more than $13 million once complete, includes 9100 square metres of area.

Dunlop Flooring is understood to be paying face rent of $84 per square metre, per annum, to occupy the Dexus controlled asset known as Lot 4, Dohertys Road in Truganina, about 22 kilometres from the CBD. It is currently based in Sunshine which is about 12 kilometres west of town.

Colliers International associate director of Industrial, Hugh Gilbert, said the transaction originated from a canvas call, adding it “ultimately resulted in Dunlop Flooring achieving maximum efficiency for a purpose built facility.
