AFL footballer Sam Reid sells Coogee penthouse

AFL footballer Sam Reid has sold a penthouse apartment in the eastern Sydney suburb of Coogee.

The Sydney Swans forward was seeking more than $1.8 million for the three-bedroom flat (pictured) which he bought for $980,000 in 2012 and occupied for a couple of years before relocating to South Coogee.

Reid – who in August signed a four-year contract with the Swans – has retained the dwelling as an investment in recent years.

In a low-rise block of five flats, and with ocean views, the property, with two car parks, was marketed by Belle Property’s Daniel Gillespie and Nicholas Keenan.

The sale comes in the same month NRL star Cooper Cronk found a tenant to occupy his Richmond townhouse, in Melbourne.

Cronk, who last week signed a two-year contract with the Sydney Roosters, recently relocated to Sydney with his fiancé, Fox News journalist, Tara
