Gerard Healy buys in Brighton’s ‘millionaire’s row’
AFL Hall of Fame inductee Gerard Healy has purchased a house on the Brighton road locals dub “millionaires’ row”.
The former Melbourne and Sydney midfielder turned Fox commentator is believed to have paid more than $4 million for the Kinane Street home.
It contains four bedrooms, a swimming pool, entertainment area and established front and rear gardens.
Like many houses in the street, it also has a tennis court.
Cricketer Shane Warne has been reported as renting on the road.
Kay & Burton director Stewart Lopez and David Urquhart – the agents for Mr Healy’s home – declined to comment when contacted by Secret Agent.
In the small street, which runs from The Esplanade, more than a dozen homes have tennis courts.
At least six more could accommodate one.
According to builder A.S. Lodge, a tennis court needs about 550 sqm to allow adequate boundary lines.
With buyers advocate David Morrell pricing Kinane St at $3300 per sqm – that play area in this neck of the woods, is worth c$1.815m.
