Former JB Hi Fi executive banks $30m for waterfront pile
Former JB Hi Fi executive Richard Bouris and his wife, Alison, have quietly sold a contemporary waterfront home in the unique and private Brighton street renowned for its postcard CBD views.

The pair are understood to be banking close to $30 million for the Shandford Avenue pile.
They paid $4.65m in 2005 then renovated.
The dwelling contains three bedrooms, sources say.
The site spreads 612 sqm, opposite a c1940 Edwardian, Shandford, which former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting and his wife, Rianna, sold for $15.3m in 2023 ahead of a move to Toorak.
The couple paid $9.25m for that property 10 years earlier.
Late cricketer Shane Warne also once called Shandford Ave home.

Another waterfront Brighton sale
Mr Bouris was part of the group which acquired JB Hi Fi in 1983 from John Barbuto, later expanding the business nationally.
A controlling stake was shed in 2000.
In 2020 the pair sold neighbouring Portsea properties and a Rye beach box for a combined c$11m.
The latest deal comes 10 months since we reported Julius Colman and his wife, Pamela, acquired Teychel at 16 Moule Avenue in the suburb – a 4500 sqm waterfront pile for generations held by the Bruce and Judith Terry.
