Tradelink leases Laverton North warehouse
Tradelink Supplies, which is controlled by the ASX-listed Fletcher Building Limited, has leased a Laverton North industrial property.
Tradelink is paying more than $90 per square metre, per annum, for the 3500 sqm facility, about 18 kilometres west of the Melbourne CBD.
At 76 William Angliss Drive, the warehouse component is surrounded by a large hardstand area.
The landlord was represented by Quinn Reynolds Property, a new commercial real estate agency directed by ex-JLL executives Marcus Quinn and Lincoln Reynolds.
Enquiry levels following a public leasing campaign came “from a wide range of well credentialed tenants”, Mr Reynolds said.
The brokers added that the rental achieved for the warehouse is a record and that the incentive required was minimal. The landlord suffered no vacancy period.
Tradelink’s lease is for seven years.
“With a business focused government back in charge, coupled with record low interest rates, the market sentiment in recent weeks had improved dramatically across both leasing and sales in the various commercial property markets,” the brokers said.
