Toyota Material Handling Australia will develop a major commercial asset on part of a Dandenong South industrial site snapped up three years ago.

Earmarked for three hectares at 253 Discovery Road, the proposal (artist’s impression, top) contains a 12,827 square metre Operations building, with areas for assembly, sales and demonstrations.

It will also include office and amenity space spreading c3605 sqm – a high 22 per cent of the building area.

Outside, the asset is designed with c9500 sqm of hardstand and 180 car parks.

TMHA paid $15.4 million for the land, near its current warehouse at 1A/205 Abbotts Rd (story continues below).

It appointed Keystone Property and Management to deliver the Discovery Rd facility by February.

Bell Architecture penned the design.

Vaughan Constructions won the building contract, estimated at tender to be worth $20-$30m, with a sod turning event held this week.
