Time & Place, James Packer buy row of homes for apartments

The proposed Mosman project will contain 11 affordable housing units.

Time & Place with James Packer’s NPACT has settled on five neighbouring Mosman homes with plans for a nine level apartment tower (artist’s impression, top).

The pair paid a speculated $106 million for the 3233 square metre amalgamation, 40-48 Redan Street.

The proposal, for 53 units, is now subject to a State Significant Development application lodged under the Housing Delivery Authority pathway.

With 11 dwellings allocated for affordable housing, the developers are seeking additional height.

High rise plan

Redan St is less than 400 metres from Spit Junction.

The affordable units will contain two bedrooms. The bulk (40) of the balance will include three bedrooms. Two dwellings are designed with four bedrooms (continues below).

The application comes five years since Melbourne based Time & Place entered the Sydney market via a Manly project, Two Tides, now under construction, in a joint venture with NPACT.

The pair also plan to replace The Chimes building in Potts Point.

Apartments are also planned for the former David Jones warehouse in Surry Hills, which they bought for $110m in late 2024.

An eight level project is planned there with 176 dwellings – 26 (15 per cent) for affordable housing.
