Seahaven Resort, Noosa Sells For $40 Million

BILLIONAIRE businessman John Van Leishout is understood to be paying some $40 million for the Seahaven Resort in Noosa, Queensland.

First listed for sale more than 18 months ago, and later reported as a deal that fell through, the resort at 9-21 Hastings Street includes 48 one and two bedroom apartments, 12 retail shops and a car park.

It spreads over a site of 4722 square metres – and has 100 metre frontage to the beach (pictured, right).

Valad to Sell Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa Complex

VALAD Property Group is expected to take a hit from the sale of its Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa facility (right) at Noosa Heads.

Valad paid $93.6 million for the asset in 2007, but its value has fallen to about $85 million.

The unrenovated complex opened in 1989 and is on a 9946 square metre site with a private mooring facility on the Noosa River.

It includes 176 rooms, suites and villas, seven shops and five food and beverage outlets.

Price of Land at Noosa Estate Dropped

RESIDENTIAL land blocks at a Noosa estate have been reduced, two years after the project was placed in receivership.

Blocks within the Beach Road estate at the $200 million Noosa North Shore project started at $1.4 million but have been reduced to $810,000.

The agent, Tom Offermann of Tom Offermann Real Estate said the revised price is expected to attract a different demographic to the area. It’s expected the move will generate another $20 million in sales for receives of the Petrac Group, Ferrier Hodgson.
