SA Government Gives Lang Walker Green Light to Develop Buckland Park Project, Adelaide

DEVELOPER Lang Walker has been given the green light to build a $2 billion residential village in Adelaide’s north.Lang Walker

The South Australian government approved the first stage of the project, which will provide 614 houses and a town centre.

The Buckland Park project will spread over 1340 hectares, and offer 12,000 housing lots over the next 26 years.

Toll NQX Leases 20,000 Square Metre Industrial Facility, Adelaide

LOGISTICS giant Toll NQX has leased a 20,000 industrial property at billionaire property developer Lang Walker’s Vicinity Industrial Estate, in Adelaide.

Vicinity is near the mouth of Adelaide’s $560 million Northern Expressway (http://www.northernexpressway.sa.gov.au/).

Mr Walker told the AFR Toll’s lease vindicates his decision to focus on developing industrial estates on key transport routes and where the government is investing.

Lang Walker Takes Low Density Road For Last Piece of Kew Cottages Site

BILLIONAIRE businessman Lang Walker has decided against another fight with Kew residents, east of Melbourne.

Announcing the final stage of the $400 million Kew Cottages site redevelopment this month, his company, Walker Corporation, shelved plans for five level apartment complexes capable of including 100 flats, and instead will build eight standalone $2 million homes on the 3240 square metre final portion of land.

Lang Walker Pays $10 Million For Amcor Petrie Paper Mill, Brisbane

Lang WalkerSYDNEY-based property developer Lang Walker has paid a speculated $10 million for a 30 hectare parcel of land, once part of Amcor’s Petrie paper mill, in Brisbane.

The off-market transaction is understood to have occurred in May. It’s reported Mr Walker will develop the estate, about 23 kilometres north of Brisbane, in three stages.

“Demand has already proven strong,” Mr Walker told The Australian. “With very limited marketing, we have already sold a third of the stage of the estate to businesses and investors from the local area.”

Lang Walker to Pocket $200 Million From Point Cook Town Centre Sale, Melbourne

SYDNEY-based billionaire property developer Lang Walker is hoping to achieve about $200 million from the sale of a near new shopping centre, in a near-new suburb, in Melbourne’s west.

Funds from the sale of the Point Cook Town Centre will go toward funding the development of Australia’s largest single office development – Collins Square, in Docklands.

Collins Square will include five office buildings, flanked by a lower level shopping centre, exploiting the 200 metre frontage of Mr Walker’s Docklands site. All up the project is expected to add 185,000 square metres of high end office space to the Melbourne market.

Billionaire Lang Walker Snares ATO as Docklands Tenant

Lang WalkerTHE Australian Taxation Office has pre-committed to an unbuilt 38,000 square metre office building in Melbourne’s waterfront Docklands precinct.

Billionaire Sydney-based developer Lang Walker will build the $250 million office, which will be substantially bigger than the ATO’s original 25,000 square metre requirement. The ATO also operates from offices at Casselden Place, expiring 2017, and La Trobe Street.

It’s hoped the ATO building will start a development boom within the Village Docklands precinct, and within the wider Docklands area.
