Stockland sells conservation site

Stockland has sold a 63 hectare site adjacent to its Willowdale housing estate, at Denham Court, east of Leppington.

At 128-320 Denham Court Road, the parcel is zoned C3 Environmental Management and C2 Environmental Conservation, allowing for, amongst other things, tourist accommodation, a winery with cellar door, school, childcare centre, place of worship, emergency services, animal boarding or some retail.

A piece is earmarked for a Biodiversity Stewardship gazette giving the incoming owner an income to cover costs of land management under the Biodiversity Stewardship Site Management Action Plan.

In a growth corridor, Leppington train station is four kilometres away.

The Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek meanwhile is 20km.

Stockland reweighs west Sydney portfolio

Construction of Willowdale, master-planned with some 3000 dwellings and a primary school, started nine years ago (story continues below).

At the time it was Stockland’s biggest NSW community, spreading 350ha, with a $1 billion-plus end value.

The property giant also holds local commercial product including the 10.25ha, 57,160 square metre Leppington Business Park, at 17 Eastwood Rd.

It was represented by Colliers for the Denham Court sale.

More to come.
