Revelop is planning a multi-building convenience retail investment on a prominent site it just unveiled near Wollongong.

McDonald’s is already committed to a piece of 1 Golf Place, but predominantly facing the Primbee Bypass, at Primbee – until 2016 controlled by the ex-Port Kembla Golf Club, when it reportedly selling to an international hotel group for $5.15m.

Containing 2906 square metres, another fast-food outlet, a standalone gym and childcare centre, is also planned, as part of Parramatta based the proposal.

The 8615 sqm block, on a bend connecting King Street and Windang Road, the major thoroughfare between Wollongong and Shellharbour – passed each way by 80,000 vehicles, the developer said – will also contain substantial car parking and infrastructure connecting the buildings (story continues below).

The Primbee block is earmarked for a 2903 square metre project.

Tenants will be sought to fill the balance of the Illawarra region, marketing has started.

Primbee is south of Port Kembla four kilometres and triple that to Wollongong.

The permanent resident catchment is about 12,600, set to rise 1.4 per cent per annum until 2030, according to the developer.
