Pop star turned professional chef, Kelis, lists LA home

Pop star turned trained chef and cook book author, Kelis Rogers, has listed her renovated 1924 Spanish Mission home in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale.

The entertainer, famous for hit singles Caught Out There in 1999, and Milkshake in 2003, is seeking USD$2.195 million ($A$2.74 million) for the five bedroom home with an internal area of nearly 360 square metres and mountain views.

The offering includes a guest house with a bathroom and a river rock wall.

Rogers paid $USD875,000 for the home in 2012, according to the LA Times, which is reporting the listing along with an extensive photo gallery, here.

In 2006, Rogers studied as a chef at culinary school Le Cordon Bleu before opening a pop-up restaurant in London. The American singer-songwriter also released a cook book and an album, Food, in 2014.

Keller Williams Studio City agent Burt Bakman is marketing the home in Glendale, which in 2013, website curbed.com named as LA’s Neighbourhood of the Year.
