Pacific Brands Offloads Prominent Bundoora Shop For $3 Million

Pacific Brands had planned to occupy the 8224 square metre site as a Hard Yakka store.

Last year and despite hefty government grants, the company announced it would send production overseas from Australia.

The Pacific Brands site is at the south-west corner of the $1 billion University Hill project, being developed on Bundoora’s former Janefield Hospital.

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology sold the 104-hectare hospital site for $21 million in 2003 to MAB Corporation, which has subdivided to establish its new mixed use village.

Queensland-based Sunland is also a major developer in the area now.
