Oreana picks up another town centre site

The Baillieu family owned Eynesbury, with its historic homestead, 70 years.
Construction of Eynesbury Village is at least eight months away.

Oreana has acquired the first of four stages of Eynesbury Village from Resimax Group, taking on development of the retail and commercial precinct more than 10 years after it was proposed by a different owner.

The first stage, affecting 2.3 hectares, will see a 7500 square metre shopping centre anchored to Coles with a bottle shop (artist’s impression, top).

Construction is anticipated to begin mid next year.

A medical centre, gym, pharmacy, childcare complex, specialty retail and dining is also planned for the pocket, replacing a Baillieu family estate held 70 years, with the distinctive Eynesbury Homestead.

Resimax, led by ‘Ozzie’ Kheir, and Oreana, directed by Tony and Steven Sass, have traded property before – among them sites which have made way for two childcare complexes and a medical centre.

Elsewhere in Melbourne’s west, Oreana is delivering town centre sites at Werribee – a parcel bought from Development Victoria in 2022.

At Mickleham meanwhile, north of town, it started construction in January of a $75 million town centre.

Resimax will retain a presence in the area, including for a low-density build to rent project announced two years ago.
