Not for profit sells prime Tweed Heads site

The Tweed Heads site once accommodated an aged care home.

The Uniting Church of Australia has sold a prominent Tweed Heads site which until a decade ago accommodated a Blue Care aged care home.

The not for profit banked $6.08 million for the 8844 square metre near-level, E1 Local Centre zoned block, 68 Keith Compton Drive, offering potential Tweed River views.

The incoming owner is a private residential developer.

Three other suitors were registered at the auction which attracted 79 bids.

Ray White Special Projects’ Peter Vines and Matthew Fritzsche acted the seller, the Uniting Church in Aust Property Trust (NSW).

The Uniting Church sold a Reservoir kindergarten in 2023.

The deal comes 18 months since we reported Uniting sold a Brisbane CBD office to Samford Commercial Investments, led by ex-CBRE analyst Jacob Fong.

In mid-2023 meanwhile, it offloaded two tennis courts and a kindergarten in Melbourne’s north Reservoir.
