Not for profit sells outgoing Brisbane HQ

Diabetes Australia banked $5.36 million for the Bowen Hills office.

Diabetes Australia has sold its Brisbane city fringe headquarters of 18 years.

The not for profit banked $5.36 million for 29 Finchley Street, Milton, following an expressions-of-interest campaign launched March.

The three level, 942 square metre building was offered turnkey, with amenities on all levels.

The land is earmarked to be rezoned Urban Enterprise, which could see it replaced with something taller.

The Diabetes Association of Queensland paid $4.78m in 2008; it was unaffected by the 2011 and 2022 floods (continues below).

JLL’s Sam Richards and Ryan Shepherd were the agents.

The buyer is another occupier.

Also this month we reported the Huang family’s Star Millennium bought the the city’s historic Ardrossan Hall – opposite Brisbane Showgrounds and 2032 Olympics athlete’s village – from another not-for-profit, Lady Gowrie.
