Mirvac fills Snack Brands warehouse

Mirvac has filled the Smithfield warehouse vacated last month by Snack Brands Australia.

Tyres 4 U has committed to 39 Britton Street for seven years. It will pay starting annual net rent of $120,000.

On 2.4 hectares the 1998 facility contains a 13,390 square metre warehouse and modernised two level office.

PGA Group Peter Gunn, who ranked 71st on the 2020 AFR Rich List, once owned it.

Mirvac acquired it from Altis Property Partners in 2014 as part of a $224.1 million deal with four other assets – the AREEP1 portfolio (story continues below).

Snack Brands holds CCs, Thins and Cheezels. In 2019 it pre-committed for 20 years to a $200m 30,255 sqm Erskine Park complex – which Altis is building.

Savills’ John Swansea and Ray Trimboli found Tyres 4 U.

“The lesee will amalgamate from multiple facilities in Western Sydney to drive better efficiencies from operating under the one, larger premises”, the agents said.

Smithfield is 25 kilometres west of Sydney.
