Logistics giant leases Sydney intermodal facility

Goodman has quietly secured a tenant for a significant intermodal facility bought for c$200 million in March.

The 12.9 hectare Minto property, 9 Stonny Batter Road (pictured, top), found favour with Medlog Oceania, part of the Geneva based Aponte family’s MSC Group, with some 70,000 staff.

A rail siding provides container transport to Port Botany.

There is also 71,865 square metres of heavy-duty hardstand able to accommodate container stacked five high.

At the south west corner of Pembroke and Ben Lomond roads, the property includes is a 22,343 sqm office/warehouse too.

Colliers’ Trent Gallagher and Angus Urquhart were the agents.

Goodman, which owns a neighbouring 13ha business park, Keylink Industrial Estate (North), bought 9 Stonny Batter Rd off-market from Qube.
