Life.Lab Newest Docklands Office

The eight-storey, 91-unit building includes strata-titled home-office suites of 80-120 square metres. The smallest apartments include a 40 sq m office and an attached apartment. There are also separate dedicated office suites starting from 40 sq m.

Lachal Property Group director Paul Lachal says 60% of the development has sold.

Life.lab is the latest office development by Digital Harbour Holdings, which also developed the 15,000 sq m 1010 La Trobe Street office building next door, and is proposing a 32,000 sq m building at 1000 LaTrobe Street, targeting multinational companies.

The Digital Harbour area of Docklands is at the north-east corner of Harbour Esplanade and La Trobe Street, and opposite the $300 million Lacrosse development."

Our focus is to ensure we attract the right mix of businesses to the precinct to create a balance of small and large companies, technology producers and users, to support the development of the marketplace," said Digital Harbour executive director David Napier.

Major tenants to lease space in Docklands recently include ANZ, AXA, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Ericsson, National Australia Bank and Telstra.

According to the Property Council of Australia’s most recent Office Market Report, the precinct now contributes about 227,000 sq m to the Melbourne CBD.
