Kirsty Marshall Buys Block of Land on Mount Hotham

The former world champion aerial skier plans to develop the site into a luxury snow home, and has appointed boutique Italian architect Giovanni D’Ambrosia to make it happen.

With prices in alpine resorts breaking all sorts of records this year, local agents say the home could have an end value of more than $500,000.

Marshall rose to fame as a ski champion in the early 1990s. Her accolades include 17 World Cup gold medals, three Olympic medals and an Order of Australia medal.

Her latest property acquisition, at DP Village, is close to Under the Moonlight, the $2 million snow home recently acquired by leading wool broker Graham Underwood.

“Mount Hotham is known as Australia’s ‘powder capital’ amongst skiers,” Ms Marshall told Secret Agent. “I want my daughters to enjoy the pleasure of winter life as I did when growing up.”

DP Village is a joint venture development between listed group MFS Diversified, and developer the Ray Group.
