Industry association picks up another office

Australian Unity sold HIA a Newstead office earlier this year.

Australian Childcare Alliance is the latest industry group to buy an office to occupy.

The not for profit association has outlaid $4.4 million including GST for 6 Paxton Street, Springwood – a growth corridor within the Logan municipality, in Brisbane’s south.

On 737 sqm the improvement contains 498 sqm of modernised area over a floor.

Part of the building is configured as an auditorium.

There are also 27 sub-basement car parks.

The seller was Living World Faith Ministries, which also occupied; it paid $2.035m in mid-2017.

“The asset was sold with vacant possession and drew strong interest from businesses displaced by major infrastructure projects and roadworks as well as those seeking a permanent base in a high-growth corridor,” Colliers’ Philip O’Dwyer, who brokered the latest sale, said.

Close to 140,000 more residents are expected to call the municipality home by 2041, he added.

Springwood is 21 kilometres from the CBD.

Also, this year the Housing Industry Association has purchased two offices to occupy – in Brisbane’s Newstead and in Cremorne, Melbourne.

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria meanwhile last bought an Abbotsford office, again in Melbourne, to occupy.
