Home of AFL footy cards sells

The former Crimp Knitting Mill building was marketed to both commercial and residential investors.

Agents found a buyer for the home of AFL footy cards this week.

In the Prahran pocket of Windsor, the property in McIlwrick Street (pictured top, left and bottom) passed in at auction last month for $2.81 million.

It had a price guide during the marketing campaign prior of between $3 million and $3.1 million.

It is within this building – the former Crimp Knitting Mills – where Team Zone, the creator of the footy cards, operates.

The warehouse has been configured into a three bedroom family home with a backyard pool and spa. The marketing agents, Gross Waddell’s Michael Gross and Alex Ham with Biggin & Scott’s Tom McCarthy, promoted the building on a 397 square metre block to both residential and commercial investors.
