Harry the Hirer leases Melbourne warehouse

Rick Jamieson bought 112 Trenerry Crescent in May.

EXCLUSIVE

Fresh from buying a riverside Abbotsford office to move his Harry the Hirer business to – after deciding to replace its Richmond base with apartments – Rick Jamieson has leased a Laverton North warehouse for the company.

The off-market deal for 96-98 William Angliss Drive and 197 Fitzgerald Road, gives the group 10,113 square metres on 2.6 hectares.

Once owned by Goodman, within the Angliss estate, the warehouses form part of the Federation Distribution Centre with three buildings, nowadays held by ESR.

Colliers’ Nick Saunders was the agent.

Clint Jellis of Jellis Advisory acted for the tenant (story continues below).

The deal comes three months since Mr Jamieson paid the Zagame family more than $30m for a warehouse converted office on 4252 sqm at 112 Trenerry Crescent, abutting the Yarra River.

The outgoing Harry the Hirer base, on 1.3 hectares across Burnley and Doonside streets, Richmond, is set to be developed in partnership with Gurner as an $800m mixed use village with retail, a vertical aged care complex and 600 sqm park.

The tallest buildings there are proposed to rise 12 storeys.
