Growthpoint leases, lists, Melbourne industrial assets
South Africa’s Growthpoint Properties has secured a tenant for a major industrial facility in Melbourne’s south-west.
Manchester Airport-based The Hut Group will move into the 5481 square metre complex at 15 Kimpton Way, Altona (pictured, top), about 13 kilometres from the city centre.
The modern office-warehouse includes a 700 sqm “super canopy”, two fully covered recessed loading docks and a drive-through loading yard.
The Hut Group is an e-commerce company in the health, beauty, fitness and lifestyle sectors.
It is paying starting rent of about $85 per square metre, per annum, for the Altona building, which was previously occupied by Atlas Steel.
Knight Frank’s Joel Davy, Andrew Gallucci and Brett Glassford brokered the deal.
The same agency this week launched a campaign to lease another Growthpoint industrial asset, in Tullamarine.
Built in 2003, the single-storey distribution facility at 75 Annandale Road, within the Melbourne Airport Business Park, contains 10,311 sqm of area, and occupies a 1.7 hectare plot.
Mr Glassford and colleague Marco Sandrin are marketing the Tullamarine complex, about 17 kilometres north-west of the Melbourne CBD.
