German manufacturer spends $17m for Melbourne base

EXCLUSIVE
The Australian arm of Germany based packaging manufacturer Multivac has outlaid $17.25 million for a major office/warehouse near its current headquarters, at Keilor Park.
The occupier swooped on the 1.68 hectare holding, 53 Harrick Drive, which was also offered for lease late last year.
Developed two decades ago for Pacific Network Global Logistics, once also tenanted to Maersk, it contains 5150 square metres, with a high proportion (1284 sqm) configured as offices.
Warehouse clearance is a high 9.1-9.7 metres.
There is also significant hardstand and 112 car parks (story continues below).
Multivac has owned its local much smaller headquarters in nearby McGregors Dve, Keilor Park, since 2007.
That property is diagonally adjacent to an office/warehouse we reported exclusive girls school, Penleigh & Essendon Grammar, bought in 2021.
Harrick Dve was marketed by Colliers’ Nick O’Brien, Corey Vraca and Mitch Purcell.
Keilor Park is 15 kilometres north west of the CBD, near Melbourne Airport.
