Epson leases Hawthorn East office from Forza Capital

Epson has rented a standalone Hawthorn East office as its local base.

The 630 square metre double storey building at 90 Camberwell Road was only recently refurbished by Forza Capital, which immediately after, sold it for $6 million.

Colliers International’s Ash Dean and John Howell with JLL’s Josh Tebb, Tim Sugar and Mario Nobrega were marketing the renovated floors for lease separately – both containing kitchens and bathrooms.

The Japanese electronics company instead took the lot for five years, paying a starting annual rent of $395 per sqm.

The property is walking distance to Auburn and Camberwell train stations and Burke Rd commercial strip (story continues below).

It is in the immediate vicinity of Dahua Group’s Hawthorn Park residential project, under construction and set to include a Marina Bay Sands style pool connecting two buildings, and the CV@141 Camberwell Rd office, where Cabrini Health recently leased a 2000 sqm space.

Elsewhere in the suburb, last October, car dealer and chairman of NRL’s Sydney Roosters, Nick Politis, spent $11.2m on a 1795 sqm site in Hall Street.

A month earlier Pace outlaid just over $4m for a gym with development upside at 9 Montrose St.

Charlie Buxton’s Cadence Group also last year paid $6.5m for neighbouring warehouses on 1626 sqm.

The recently renovated office includes a balcony.
Epson has committed to all of 90 Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East.
