Collingwood captain Nathan Buckley and Channel Nine CEO Eddie McGuire now share more than their love of the black-and-white jersey. They also share a Toorak address.
Buckley has picked up a five-bedroom house on a 1200-square-metre block in the prestigious suburb for $3.93 million. The house is a not far from the mansion of Collingwood president Eddie McGuire.
Despite being a Sydneysider now, well-placed sources say McGuire appears in no rush to sell his Toorak pile, despite its looking likely that he’ll stay in the NRL-obsessed city for some years.
“I don’t think he knows himself what he is going to do with the property,” says a source.
“He’s been busy and hasn’t applied himself to think about a sale.”
Perhaps he’ll reconsider now, with Buckley having three spare bedrooms to accommodate the McGuire clan for any Melbourne visits.
