The Bureau of Meteorology leases nearly a third of 700 Collins Street.

Cromwell has retained another major occupier at 700 Collins Street – Docklands’ first office.

The federal government’s Bureau of Meteorology will stay on for c10,000 square metres for 10 years.

The landlord said it will continue to upgrade the building with a view to making it net zero by 2025.

In April we reported another key tenant – Metro Train Limited – also renewed at the building, completed in 2004 in the precinct’s southern end near Spencer Street Station.

That state government arm committed to 10,500 sqm – the top four floors – until 2030.

The building rises 17 levels with 33,489 sqm.

Cromwell paid $133m for it new.
