The daughter of Geelong businessman Frank Costa is selling the family’s prominent Newtown home 18-months after a major renovation.
Suzanne Cleary and her husband, Tim, are asking $6.1 million for 1-3 Whyte Court – a price which if achieved, would set a metropolitan Geelong record.
Ms Cleary acquired the property from her parents in 2011, according to this news.com.au item.
Mr Costa and his wife Shirley, had been trying to sell the Newtown property since 2008 – when they moved into the Edgewater Apartments penthouse in central Geelong, overlooking Corio Bay.
On a 3203 square metre elevated block with aspect to Queens Park, the land is configured with a tennis court, swimming pool and several garden zones – the front yard with a gazebo.
The rendered double storey house contains five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gym, sauna, study, double lock up garage and two observatories.
Unusually, the home includes a room larger than the informal family area – configured with a wraparound bar.
All up the home’s internal area is 710 sqm.
McGrath’s David Courtas is marketing 1-3 Whyte Court for private sale.
