Clinton Casey to Sell Slice of Former Zeally Bay Caravan Park, Torquay
OnShore Torquay is the name given to the land estate which includes 29 lots, once part of the ramshackle but prime-located caravan park at 100 The Esplanade. The lots range in size between 301 and 356 square metres, and in price between $375,000 and $660,000.
OnShore Torquay land buyers can utilise facilities at the $60 million, 5-star The Resort Torquay project, which Mr Casey’s development company Massey Pty Ltd, built on the balance of the 3.2 hectare Zeally Bay Caravan Park site.
These facilities include a 50 metre pool, day spa, gym, tennis court and conference centre.
Colliers International Residential selling agent Tim Storey expects sea changers, or those that have a sea change in their sites, to swoop on the blocks which were put to the market this weekend.
Massey paid $12.5 million for the caravan park in 2003. Its vendors were reported as putting the property on the market after receiving a $150,000 hike in land tax charges, following a local property boom. It had operated the successful caravan park on the site for 23 years prior to sale.
