Claudia Karvan, Jeremy Sparks re-offer Redfern warehouse

The warehouse converted home contains 280 square metres of internal area

Claudia Karvan and her partner, Jeremy Sparks, have listed their former Redfern family home after a sale three years ago fell through.

The warehouse conversion, 1/17 Charles Street, carries a $3 million guide.

It was previously reported to have traded ahead of the 2018 auction for just over $2.7m.

Over four levels, the dwelling contains 280 square metres of internal area – inclusive of a single car garage.

It is furnished with a garage door from a Clovelly service station, Carriageworks railway ceiling lights and a steel staircase, pulled from a 1960s warehouse

A rooftop terrace spreads 50 sqm.

BresicWhitney’s Brigitte Blackman and Darren Pearce take the home to auction on November 27 (story continues below).

Second time luckier

The dwelling forms part of an ex-clothing factory which the Sparks family acquired for $725,000 in 1994 – and reconfigured as five dwellings about 10 years later.

Jeremy, an engineer, and his actress partner lived in their unit until moving locally more than four years ago.

Guests are said to include Tex Perkins and Asher Keddie. Claudia’s father, Kings Cross nightclub owner Arthur, who now lives in Bali, is also reported to have stayed.

Following the 2018 marketing campaign, the property has been rented.
