BYD chooses suburban office for HQ
BYD has signed a large suburban office lease deal, at Mulgrave.
The China based car maker will occupy a full floor – 2000 square metres – at 631 Springvale Road, within Salta’s Nexus Mulgrave estate, for its Victorian headquarters.
The initial lease term is five years.
More than 200 people are expected to be based there.
BYD will relocate from another south east Melbourne address.
Its Australian base is at Sydney’s Macquarie Park.
Salta fills more of Nexus
BYD is one of four tenants to recently lease spaces at Nexus, which includes industrial and retail as well as campus style offices, occupied by 61 businesses.
At the neighbouring 633 Springvale Rd, Toshiba has just taken 700 sqm while FOSS committed to 550 sqm. Accounting firm OHM meanwhile rented 350 sqm.
Mulgrave is about 21 kilometres south east of Melbourne’s CBD.
