Beyond Bank sells ex-ACT office

The Mawson site was marketed for its development upside.

Beyond Bank has sold a Mawson office it part occupied for decades.

The Mawson Avenue office was designed for multiple small tenants.

The two level building on 1604 square metres at 105 Mawson Drive, on the north east corner of Heard Street, is speculated to be trading for just over $6 million.

With 1821 sqm of modern area, it was developed over 30 years ago for multi-tenant configuration, with a large atrium and feature staircase.

There is also a concrete driveway and 18-bay basement car park.

Belford Building is the buyer (story continues below).

“The site received strongest interest from a broad range of the market including owner-occupiers, investors and developers which spoke to the quality of the asset located in a thriving established town centre,” CBRE’s Tristan Cotchett, who represented Beyond Bank with Nic Purdue, said of the campaign.

Zoned Commercial 2, it could make way for alternative product including essential services.

Mawson is about 12 kilometres south of Canberra’s CBD.
