Located about 40 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD, the Berwick precinct includes Narre Warren North, Narre Warren South, Harkaway and Beaconsfield.
It is accessed by train and buses.

According to travelmate.com.au, driving to Berwick from the CBD should take about 35 minutes via the Monash Freeway, and Princes Freeway.

According to the REIV, Berwick’s median house price for the year ended December 31, 2007, is $345,375 up 6.4 per cent since 2006.
For the same period, median house prices:

* Increased in Narre Warren to $312,000, up 5.8 per cent;
* Increased in Narre Warren North to $637,500, up 13.8 per cent;
* Decreased in Narre Warren South to $315,000, down 0.1 per cent;
* Increased in Beaconsfield to $415,000, up 1.2 per cent.

By comparison, median house values in Melbourne increased to $425,000, up 12.6 per cent.

The REIV annualised median figures are considered more statistically reliable than the quarterly figures released throughout the year, because they survey a much greater sample of properties. use values
