Armadale store recently vacated by celebrity occupants, re-rented

The Armadale shop where former footballer Chris Judd and his wife, television presenter, Rebecca (pictured, top), opened their first Jaggad clothing store in 2017, has been leased after the retailer vacated in July.

Jaggad, which is co-owned with another ex-AFL footballer Steven Greene and his wife, Michelle, is now based at another outlet the quartet operated at 123 Church Street, Brighton.

The outgoing premises at 1033 High Street spreads 85 square metres on the ground floor of a three-storey building which was until last May owned by another former footballer, Robert Walls.

This property, which also includes an office and apartment, sold to an investor for $2.8 million.

Morley Commercial’s Tom Larwill this week leased the former Jaggad space to another fashion retailer in the street. It is understood to have rented for just under $900 per square metre, per annum. Or priced on an annual basis – more than $70,000.

It is the second shop in the ritzy strip Mr Larwill has leased this month: 1126 High Street, which includes 110 sqm of lettable area, was rented for a slightly lower but not too dissimilar rate per square metre than #1033.

Jaggad in its current guise formed in 2013 when the investors bought the triathlon brand to reinvent.
