Another ex-Flinkier’s dealership for sale
A former Flinkier’s Motors car dealership has hit the market.
At 390 – 396 Dynon Road in West Melbourne, near the Maribyrnong River, the 1517 square metre site carries a $1.4 million guide.
Given the zoning it could be replaced with a commercial or residential project.
The property was until recently rented to National Hire.
It is still configured as an office/warehouse.
Fitzroys’ Dean Alexander and Geoff Emmett are the marketing agents.
In July 2009 another ex-Flinkier’s, with frontage to Hopkins, Whitehall and Warde streets, in Footscray, sold to a residential developer for $5.25m.
The dealership, which existed for more than six decades, specialised in American cars.
It operated from South Melbourne until c2007.
Last week the government’s development arm VicUrban paid about $21m for a 1.3 hectare riverfront site, also in that suburb, occupied by Le Mans Toyota.
