Adelaide council rents out newly acquired site
Maverick Campers and Caravans has leased a former car yard just acquired by the City of Prospect for $8.3 million.
The 5522 square metre ex-Jeep dealership at 142-148 Main North Road, Prospect, was, council said, set to be redeveloped to support amenities of the neighbouring Prospect Oval.
Part was also expected to be used for parking.
Instead, the City will in the shorter term use it an income producing investment.
JLL’s Victoria Everett and John Pearce negotiated the lease; some 40,000 vehicles pass the property a day, they said (story continues below).
The same agency brokered the sale.
Prospect is five kilometres north of Adelaide’s CBD.
