Accor leases two new Melbourne hotels from the Brady family’s Amber Property Group

Accor has teamed with car dealer turned developer, the Brady family, to establish two hotels in Melbourne’s east.

In Richmond, Accor will open a Peppers at 203-207 Bridge Road – a 787 square metre site acquired about two years ago, in two parts, by the Brady’s Amber Property Group.

We reported about Amber’s development application five months ago.  

At the time, the developer said it committed Mantra to running the 11-level venue with 83 rooms, a restaurant and bar.

Instead it will trade as a Peppers– another brand controlled by the Paris-based Accor.

Set to open in 2022, Peppers Melbourne Richmond (artist’s impression, top) will incorporate the historic façade of three shops.

Meanwhile in Ringwood, about 23 kilometres from the city, Accor will operate a Sebel from seven floors of a 16-storey tower which 94 Feet is building at 301 Maroondah Highway.

Last October, it was reported Britain’s InterContinental Hotel Group had leased this venue for a Holiday Inn and Suites complex.

Instead, it will be occupied by Accor

The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood, set to open in 2021, will contain 103 serviced apartment style rooms, two function rooms, a restaurant and bar.

The Sebel Ringwood will contain 103 rooms over seven floors.

Amber Property Group will retain ownership of both the Richmond and Ringwood hotels.
