ABC reporter Leigh Sales sells Glebe home ahead of auction

ABC reporter and author Leigh Sales has accepted a pre-auction offer for her 1910 Federation in the inner-western Sydney suburb of Glebe.

Sales is speculated to be banking more than $2.9 million for the four bedroom property which she bought for $2.675 million in 2015 and occupied with her former partner Phil Willis.

On a 398 square metre north-facing block, the renovated home (pictured) retains many original features including ceiling roses and polished timber floorboards.

Listed last month with a $3 million price guide, the Hereford Street property, about three kilometres from the CBD, was scheduled to be auctioned this Saturday.

Agents Andrew Liddell and Matthew Carvalho of BresicWhitney Balmain represented Sales, who reportedly separated from Willis 11 months ago.

Last month it was reported Sales paid about $2.05 million for a five-bedroom home in Stanmore about 5.5 kilometres west of the CBD. This home, which failed to sell at auction in September, was marketed by Belle Property’s Rebecca Duncan.
