Victorians Prominent in National PCA Innovation and Excellence Awards

More than a third of the nominations for the Heritage & Adaptive Reuses category were for Victorian projects, and include VicUrban’s Cheltehnam Green development in Cheltenham, and CBUS Property’s Herald & Weekly Times building redevelopment, on the corner of Exhibition and Flinders streets in the CBD.

Architect Rothelowman’s redevelopment of its own headquarters, once a Southbank factory, also earned it as a nomination for this award.

The HWT building redevelopment has also been nominated for an Office Development award, joining the new AXA building in Docklands, and Master Builders Association House in Albert Street, East Melbourne.

The only Victorian shopping centre developments to be nominated for the Retail Development award, were Lynbrook Village in the southeast, and the second stage of the Watergardens Shopping Centre in Taylors Lakes, northwest of the CBD.

The K2 Apartments social housing project in Raleigh Street Prahran has been nominated for the Sustainable Developments category, along with 370 Docklands Drive in Docklands, Pakington Strand in Geelong, and architect Rothelowman’s new Southbank headquarters.

No Victorian project was nominated for a Residential Development award.
