United Petroleum co‑founder Avi Silver has put his Mornington Peninsula retreat on the market.

The Merricks North home has three bathrooms.

The contemporary Merricks North home on just over an acre carries a $6.95 million guide.

With rammed earth walls, it contains six bedrooms – the master with a Jetmaster fireplace – five bathrooms, a study and three car garage.

Hydronic heated flooring and matt black zinc cladding are amongst recent upgrades.

A 20 metre infinity edged pool runs beneath part of it.

The site is also designed with a pool house, with a kitchenette and powder room, an outdoor entertainment area with a barbecue (continues below).

On sale

Mr Silver co-founded United Petroleum with Eddie Hirsch in 1981. Also owner of the Pie Face brand, and with real estate interests, both men are billionaires.

The executive bought the Merricks North home in 2020 from local firm Neil Williams & Son who built it; it has a 32 tonne steel frame. The outlay was $4.875m.

The on sale is being managed by RT Edgar’s Michael Ebeling, David Gillham and Jack Edgar.
