Tony Mokbel’s Former Brunswick Mansion Hits The Rental Market
Renate served prison time in 2007 after the courts prevented her from selling the Brunswick property, put up as surety when Tony skipped bail near the end of a Supreme Court trial in 2006.
Years earlier, in 1997, police discovered an amphetamine laboratory on a property controlled by Tony, next door to the family home. The lab is believed responsible in shifting Mokbel from a mid-level truck trafficker in the early 1990s, to one of the biggest provider of provider drugs, by the end of that decade.
Mokbel later bulldozed the laboratory to extend the garden of the family home being offered for rent. He also added a swimming pool and $15,000 palm tree.
