Indigo managing director Mitch Nielsen said the real estate investment and boating community alike had embraced the development. Two-thirds of early-bird buyers at West Harbourside, also purchased a marina berth to accompany their apartments, he said.

"The harbour has a water depth of three metres at mean tide to cater for larger boats and some of the marina berths are up to 25 metres in length, allowing the marina to cater for some very large yachts."

On completion, Martha Cove will comprise more than 1150 dwellings surrounding a new marina. Commercial offices are proposed as part of the master plan, as is a central village retail hub, with a food market, boutique shops, alfresco cafes and restaurants.
