]]> To be known as the Geelong Private Medical Centre, the 6-level development will include around 6300 square metres of medical and commercial accommodation, and 182 undercover car parks.

Geelong Private Hospital, which is adjacent to the new development, has leased the entire top floor of the development, totaling around 1900 square metres.

Apelbaum & Co marketing agent Phillip Apelbaum said the new medical centre will be linked to the Geelong Private Hospital by an air bridge. The Geelong Public Hospital is already linked to the Geelong Private Hospital by an existing pedestrian tunnel.

News of the development, which was granted approval by the City of Greater Geelong this week, follows the Transport Accident Commission pre-committing to a new 16,000 square metre office building on the former Bowtruss site at the corner of Geelong’s Brougham and Clare Streets.
