Rivkin’s Old Craig-y-Mor Mansion in Point Piper Sets New Australian Price Record of $32.4 Million

Craig-y-Mor, the non-waterfront home in Point Piper’s ultra ritzy Wolseley Road was snapped up by property investor Ben Tilley, and Rivkin’s then neighbour, for just over $16 million in 2004, as part of a sell down of the former stockbroker’s assets.

Wolseley Road is considered Sydney’s most exclusive pile of real estate, with aspiring Liberal Party opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull believed to own two homes in the street. Recruitment agent Julia Ross set the record for a non-waterfront home in 2004, when she paid $21.5 million for Villa del Mare also in Wolseley Road.

In Melbourne, the record price for a home paid was set last year when art dealer forked out $18 million for the Stonington mansion in Glenferrie Road Malvern.
