Plans to Build Massive Glasshouse in NSW Stall

The $126 million, 35-hectare Bomaderry facility was to include a 1.8 hectare research and development centre, and output about 8,000 tonnes of tomatoes, 4,200 tonnes of cucumbers and 840 tonnes of strawberries each year.

However because two of the backers of the projects have suffered sharemarket batterings in the past 12 months, development of the project has been delayed.

Mr Disselkoen tells the AFR he is talking to three high-profile Australian growers about investing in the project. He is hoping to get finance for the project by the end of the year.
