New York’s Skinniest House Sells For $US2.1 Million

THE home dubbed New Yorks skinniest house has sold for $US2.1 million (A$2.27 million).

The three metre Bedford Street home, near the corner of Commerce Street, last sold in 2000 for $1.6 million, the Daily Telegraph reports.

The house was built in 1853 on an alley way between homes and measures three metres wide, and 12 metres long.

A plaque on the home notes poet Edna St Vincent Millay once lived at the two-bedroom house.
